The Role

Responsible for the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with statutory requirements. This role works closely with management to support financial planning, decision-making, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions including general ledger (GL), accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP).
• Monitor company cash flow, budgeting, financial planning, and expenditure control to ensure effective financial management.
• Review and approve payment processing while maintaining good follow-up with suppliers, creditors, and customers.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, reconciliations, and analysis reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure proper preparation of bank reconciliation, cash flow reports, and updating of bank clearing transactions in the accounting system.
• Lead monthly and yearly financial closing activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary, and government authorities regarding audit and taxation matters.
• Ensure all accounting records, supporting documents, and filing systems are properly maintained and updated.
• Monitor and improve internal control procedures, accounting processes, and financial reporting systems.
• Prepare and review invoices, debit notes, credit notes, journals, and other related financial documents.
• Supervise and guide the accounts & finance team to ensure smooth daily operations and continuous improvement.
• Assist management in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax, and other regulatory matters.
• Perform any other finance and administrative duties assigned by management from time to time.t.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting or related field.
• At least 5 years of working experience in finance and accounting, with managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge in full set of accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and audit matters
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software. Knowledge of AutoCount system will be an added advantage
• Good analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Proficiency in more than one language is an added advantage.
